In partnership with a boutique UK based private exploration consultancy, Alcock group assists Governments secure international investment to open up neglected oil and gas exploration acreage and frontier acreage.
Alcock group’s purpose is to explore for hydrocarbons and helium in neglected and over looked areas throughout the world and through the analysis of vintage data sets; providing new geochemical and geological analysis; new geological thinking, distillation and highgrading of the opportunities and by creating exploration groups or companies to attract investment to take prospect concepts to quantification of the findings.

This has been achieved by helping build new investment vehicles and companies (EAX, BMEL, CaribX, Adamantine Energy, Cluff Natural Resources), through the analysis and digitisation of vintage data sets; providing new geochemical and geological analysis and insight; introduction of new technologies (e.g. Gravity Gradiometry) and application of new petroleum geological thinking. This has included the opening of the lower Mesozoic source system of the western Indian ocean, determining the origin of the hydrocarbons in the North Sumatra basin, recognition of the Upper Jurassic Durban basin source system and expansion of the Cretaceous regional source system within the greater Caribbean region.
